For over 100 years, Marinello has been educating students to enter a
professional career in the Beauty Industry. Marinello has provided
thousands of Graduates with "Cosmetology Education" in California,
Nevada, and Utah.
All Marinello locations offer exclusive Salon and Spa Services to their patrons at affordable prices. Services are performed by supervised Marinello students. The skilled and experienced instructors at Marinello schools are experts in haircutting, hairstyling, hair designing, skin care and manicuring. Courses provide theory and practical instruction. Demonstrations, doll head exercises, beauty clinic services and mock boards. Demonstrations from outside professionals are provided periodically. The professionally administered curriculum includes the use of Marinello's nationally known methods. Career programs are offered that can be completed in a year or less. The training is intense, and students take only the courses related to their career goals. Classes are usually small, and over 50% of the training is "hands-on". Learning by doing has long been the most effective means of teaching cosmetology skills. Whether you are mastering the basics or experimenting with the latest styles, you will learn under the guidance of an experienced instructor. As you progress in your training, you will move to the clinic floor where you can put your new skills to the test on real customers. Cosmetology The curriculum for students enrolled in this program consists of practical training and technical instruction covering all practices of cosmetology, including a course in shop department consisting of training in courtesy and professional attitude in meeting the public. Cosmetology The Programs length is 335 hours of technical classroom instruction in the science and practice of cosmetology, and 1265 hours of applied effort for the minimum number of practical operations. State Law requires 1600 hours to be completed in order to apply for a Cosmetology license examination. Manicuring For those wishing to practice manicuring only, we offer a 400 hour course. The curriculum includes a minimum of 110 hours of classroom instruction in the science and practice of manicuring and a minimum of 290 hours of practical training and technical instruction. Esthetician The curriculum for students enrolled in a skin care course includes technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices of an esthetician. Technical instruction means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination; practical operation is the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person. California State Law requires a Minimum of 600 hours to be completed at a licensed beauty school to apply for an esthetician license. |
