With more than 20 years as a leader in research and education in lasers and clinical aesthetics, IMAj and its faculty offer unmatched experience as the nation's leading clinical aesthetics training school.  The IMAj staff have performed thousands of clinical aesthetic procedures and services, are involved in extensive ongoing  research, and have helped to shape the medical spa industry as we know it today.

Industry Leaders
The IMAj Institute works directly with a number of the largest companies in the clinical aesthetics industry.  In July of 2008 Gary Begley, the President of the IMAj Institute, was appointed to the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology by Governor Janet Napolitano to help provide leadership to the aesthetics community.  Gary Begley is also the Chairman of the Association of Aesthetic Professionals, a non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing education and supporting the careers of aesthetic professionals.
    
Unique Program
The IMAj Institute is proud to be the only school in the nation to offer a 750 hour Clinical Aesthetics program that incorporates the Aesthetician Licensing Course with a focus on clinical skin care as well as the ARRA approved Laser Technician Certification course that provides extensive classroom and hands-on training in 9 separate advanced skin care technologies.  The IMAj program is designed for students who wish to focus specifically on clinical aesthetics training in order to prepare for a successful career in the medical spa or cosmetic medical industry.

Resources
The IMAj Institute has worked hard to provide a myriad of resources for its students to ensure that the IMAj training programs are incredibly comprehensive, and that IMAj graduates are well prepared to become successful members of the aesthetics community.  The Scottsdale IMAj campus features a 6,000 square foot facility with a fully operational medical spa, numerous lab and class rooms, a diverse faculty, and the most on-site laser and energy-based technologies of any school of its kind.  As an IMAj student you will have access to everything you need to succeed and make the most of your training experience.

Research
With a foundation in research and education, the IMAj Institute is continuously engaged in an effort to advance the science and technology that drives the clinical aesthetics industry.  IMAj faculty and students regularly participate in research studies. In 2007 and 2008, IMAj and its students served as a clinical research center for HK Lasers (Asia), InterMedic Aesthetic Lasers (Spain), and DermEquip, Inc. (U.S.).  IMAj is proud to announce that in 2009 its sister company, IMAj Technologies, will begin offering a full slate of original medical aesthetic equipment.

Endorsements
IMAj is proud to serve as an Arizona State Certified Laser Technician Training Course provider, as authorized by the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA).  IMAj is also the only school in the nation to be licensed by both the ARRA and the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology.  IMAj also offers monthly CPR & AED training courses in conjunction with the Heart Savers, Inc..  As a member of the Association of Aesthetic Professionals, IMAj is also working hard to promote the individual success of each professional within the clinical aesthetics community.  In 2008 the IMAj Institute was also selected for membership by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS).  IMAj has also been approved for tuition assistance as a provider for the Arizona Workforce Development Program (AZ Department of Education) and the Veteran's Administration (GI Bills).

Your Success
Every component of the IMAj training programs are designed to promote the success of each individual student.  It is the number one priority of the IMAj faculty to make certain that every student is ultimately extremely comfortable with each and every technology.  There are minimum requirements for both classroom and hands-on training with the IMAj training courses, but there are no maximums.  IMAj welcomes every student to make the most of all of the resources available to them to make certain that they are ready to become an integral part of the clinical aesthetics community.  Students may at any time choose to re-attend classes or participate in additional hands-on training activities while enrolled at IMAj or at any time after graduation.  This helps to ensure that every student has the ability to utilize the resources of the IMAj Institute in any way that may help to ensure their success.
